I love these words because that is what I believe God is hatching in my son, Aaron. Giving up the luxuries and craziness of SoCal living, the $70K salary he was making at BMW, the cushy existence of the OC, and the immediate companionship of family and friends, he is becoming a fanatic. What is a fanatic? Someone will to put all on the line for the depth of their worldview and belief system. Someone who has a growing passion for living in the flow of something bigger than what they see in the present moments of their lives. Aaron has been transformed from being "little brudder and arrogant punk" to the spiritual revolutionary that God wants us all to be. Does he have it figured out? God no! He's living out the revolution in Canada of all places! But it is in the drumbeat of the Spirit that he is marching. God is stirring something in me because of the example of my son. I've put some big dreams on hold in my life as I've pursued security, safety and other dreams. God is awakening bigger dreams in me as I look on the examples around me who are the fanatics of Kingdom living. Do you have a fanatic around you that is God's mouthpiece to speak to you about no longer quenching that which He has been speaking to you for years? Are you and I really listening or are there other voices that are more interesting because they are appealing to that which paralyzes us from following the call of God? Big questions...answers that are not safe...but that's the shape of the revolution! We didn't sign up for safety! We signed up for adventure!
