Those of you who pick up the attached barf bag for another visit to Spiritual Regurgitations know me by now. I am a relational type of guy...I love my wife, in fact, I am downright crazy about her...in fact, just thinking about her makes me wanna...oops, this is a "family" appropriate blog, isn't it? I love my kids and, obviously, I love my grandbabies (some of which you have had to endure with endless pictures on this site). Oh well...get over it! In fact, you better click to another site if you want to avoid another shameless family plug. I love my pup! Yep, you see her...smiling and mischeviously looking playful (as she always is). I am so proud of her...she is courageous, creative to a fault, funny, entertaining, insightful, deeper than an ocean and, and, and...I could go on for days. Anyway, my pup is about to have puppies! No, not a litter of puppies but ONE little pup! So, the pup is going to have a pup. Chaya is putting aside (temporarily) the incredible gifts and talents and passions she has for a walk on the wild side as a new mom. The due date - this month! It is not very often that a father takes the opportunity to just gloat about his children. Many have said, as a kind of cliche, that if God had a wallet, He would carry a picture of us in it. There is something about that image that seems a bit ridiculous...but the sentiment is definitely an expression of truth. I could not be more excited and blessed by my daughter...everytime I look at her, I remember alll the joys and struggles we've shared...every one of them precious. As you think about your "child-likeness" in terms of your journey with God, remember today, it is all the times of life that God is blessed with in His relationship with you. Don't discount those difficult times where you failed or choked or flat-out rebelled. In your relationship with Jesus, there isn't one of those moments He would trade. Every moment of disappointment is that much sweeter when there is a renewed sense of love and passion that follows. As we experience that type of love on our journeys it will only be natural for love to find a way to be expressed, lived and shared. Maybe you too can bear a puppy! I love you Pup! You could not make me love you more or less!
