It was bound to happen eventually...this past weekend, while teaching/leading worship at a conference for student leaders, an ambitious student who is passionately loved by God and who is the recipient of grace and mercy from the heart of God...he took a dodgeball and threw it into the audience. Unfortunately, what was between the audience and his hand was MY Apple Powerbook. You can imagine what happened. Well, after a few moments where in my heart I was NOT honoring the Kingdom and NOT living in the flow of God's design, I settled down enough to assess the damage. We couldn't use any videos or powerpoint slides that night but I was able to bypass the shattered display and work it through the video projector for the remaining sessions of the weekend. Of course, NO leader is worth their salt without their trusty electronic sidekick...so I made my way to the computer store for the replacement. I'm back online today...the kid who threw the ball is having to work out the $2K in some way...he felt terrible as you might imagine. Anyway, for a few days I couldn't check email or do any blogging or check any of the blogs that bring so much refreshment to my soul. So, I'm back again! Pray for that kid...won't mention names! Pray for me! I never knew that I had such a fixation on my computer...I never knew that it was "bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh". We are one...and when my computer was hurting, I was hurting too. I know...get a life Robin!

I have to admit that when you mentioned that the precious students would remain nameless, Wes did flash across my mind. anyway, i just had to comment on your statement about your computer being "bone of your bone and flesh of your flesh" becuase I just sat down and i just thought how much i love my computer-- i feel your pain. -------- COMMENT-AUTHOR:Anonymous Anonymous COMMENT-DATE:8:45 AM COMMENT-BODY:Wow Robin, when you called Aaron we were at Plunge, and as he told me what had happened I had to take a step back and think about what that meant for a minute... after a moment of silence, laughter. Like Chanel said, terribly hilarious. --------
