I'm speaking at Yosemite Sierra Christian Camp this week...the camp and its ministry is one of the most impressive, faithful, community-oriented and fun camps I have ever had the honor to be a part of...Sarah and Steve Kuljis along with Ron and the rest of the staff have a passion for children and God-honoring Kingdom work. So, I'm getting ready for a talk tonight and I get a chance to talk to Vicky (that's my wife)...she was taken to the emergency room last night for all the symptoms of a heart attack. Now, I have to add here that the doctors are not sure it was one...there are some signs that it was not a heart episode but she is off to the cardiologist on Wednesday just to cover all the bases. So, to make a long story short, the YSSC staff have graciously excused me from the week's activities...I'm heading home tonight. The news was too big for me. It hit my heart strong...the bottom line, I have to be home right now. I don't know what kicked off the chest pains and other heart attack symptoms...but I can't be 300 miles away and have any peace. Pray for YSSC and their last session with campers...pray for Vicky and the doctors wisdom as we hunt this problem down...pray for her healing...and pray for me as I travel home from Yosemite with worry, concern and trust all wrestling inside of me.
