Yep, it had to happen! When I was a young pup, NO ONE could pull the wool over these eyes! But now that I am gaining in days, weeks and years, I am a sucker for a gorgeous face and a weasle-like plot. My wife, Vicky, pulled it off. Romancing me on a gondola in Newport Harbor wasn't enough. NO! As she was giving me a wonderful kiss, which I thought was given with completely pure motives, she was attempting to divert my gaze from noticing a "boat load" of my family and community group on a yacht that she had chartered for my birthday celebration! Believe me...the kiss was great...the party was a surprise! What a great time...wish you were there! All I can tell you is that if this life as a Christ follower is just a foretaste of a life that goes on forever and keeps getting better and better...man, are we in for a ride! My heart is filled to overflowing...thanks to my lovely spouse whom I love to death...thanks to my great kids who conspired against me...they'll get there's...my community group who have stood with me in all sorts of ups and downs...and the crew of the Paradisio who made the night special and kept pouring some very good wine! We'll see what the next 50 will bring! More to come!
