Did you ever consider that maybe, just maybe, it is at that very moment that the shaping of THE Potter is occurring in ways you could never understand or appreciate? I wonder if a pot ever wonders what it will look like along the way of its shaping? I don't think so! Pottery only happens as the clay is moldable in the hands of the craftsman that enables it to evolve from worthless earth to thing of beauty. The beauty of the final creation is what the Potter has in mind as He shapes and molds. I have often been worried about the type of man I am becoming...instead, I need to celebrate the man that God has given me an opportunity to be. It's all about the NOW...not what the future holds. The "future" of the creation that God is doing in me is up to Him. The people of recovery say that we need to "let go and let God". I really didn't have a clue of what that meant until I looked at the picture for more than a fleeting moment. How do you need to let go? The hurt of being shaped is for your good and it is the Master's pleasure. Give that an opportunity to seep into your soul.
